Logo and print design for imago diagnostic
By Ángel DomínguezWe’re back to the past, this time going back to early 2006. This work came from Madrid, there was this new company called imago diagnostic, devoted to providing hospitals with solutions for remote radiology diagnosis; the company has a system that allows radiologists to work from home using a high resolution terminal to perform a diagnosis from images obtained from the patient in a hospital anywhere in the world. This new commission started with such interesting premise; our task was to create a logo for the company as well as business cards and a presentation (done in Flash) as a support to their commercial process.
After an exhaustive documentation phase our computers could have been mistaken with those of Dr. House, filled as they were with images of MRIs, X-Ray images, radiology gear and all sorts of high-tech and incredibly expensive medical equipment…
We created several possible logos following different aesthetic paths (the client hadn’t indicated any particular restriction thus we had complete creative freedom); a decision was made, and this logo was chosen:

The concept to represent was a company with global scope, specializing in remote medical diagnosis services and with a major technological base; in our opinion this logo represents those ideas perfectly.
We did the business card, which had to be printed quite hastily and there was no possibility of doing a 2-sided design, so we couldn’t do something too complex. Despite that, we came up with a visual support in the shape of an x-ray image of a knee, which proved very useful for the rest of the print design.

The presentation I mentioned earlier had to be delivered to potential customers onn a CD, so we designed a label for the CD itself plus a cover for the case.
