That tune in the WWDC 08 keynote
By Ángel Domínguez
Truth be said, I don’t know if anyone has wondered what song could be heard in the video that Steve Jobs played during the keynote address for the WWDC 2008, which showed what some big corporations think of the iPhone. It doesn’t hurt to tell about that song, though, just in case it caught someone else’s attention.
For a little perspective, Apple is finishing a system for distributing naitve applications for the iPhone, and, to that effect, and with the occasion of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2008), Steve Jobs introduced a video in which high executives of a number of companies (even from the U.S. Army) talked about the benefits of creating software for the iPhone. Said video had a background music that sounded very, very familiar to me…
… Well, the song is called “Knuddelmaus”, by Ulrich Schnauss. For those of you who want to listen to a sample, or perhaps even buy it, here’s the iTunes Store link. The album in which this song is included is called Far Away Trains Passing By, a truly evocative title appropriate for the delicious music it contains.
